Alibre Design .NET CLI Templates

Command-line templates for creating Alibre Design AddOn projects using the .NET CLI.

Installation

dotnet new install AlibreDesign.Templates

Or install from a local NuGet package:

dotnet new install AlibreDesign.Templates.1.0.0.nupkg

Available Templates

C# Templates

Alibre Script AddOn (C#)

Create a new Script AddOn with IronPython integration:

dotnet new alibre-script-cs -n MyScriptAddOn

Options:

• -n, --name - Name of the project (default: current directory name)
• --Framework - Target framework: net48 or net481 (default: net481)
• --AlibreVersion - Alibre Design version (default: 28.1.1.28227)

Example:

dotnet new alibre-script-cs -n MyScriptAddOn --Framework net48

Alibre Single File AddOn (C#)

Create a minimal single-file AddOn:

dotnet new alibre-addon-cs -n MyAddOn

Options:

• -n, --name - Name of the project
• --Framework - Target framework: net48 or net481 (default: net481)

Alibre Single File AddOn with Ribbon (C#)

Create a single-file AddOn with ribbon UI:

dotnet new alibre-ribbon-cs -n MyRibbonAddOn

Options:

• -n, --name - Name of the project
• --Framework - Target framework: net48 or net481 (default: net481)

VB.NET Templates

Alibre Script AddOn (VB.NET)

Create a new Script AddOn with IronPython integration:

dotnet new alibre-script-vb -n MyScriptAddOn

Options:

• -n, --name - Name of the project (default: current directory name)

Alibre Single File AddOn (VB.NET)

Create a minimal single-file AddOn:

Building and Running

After creating a project:

1. Update Alibre references in the project file to match your installation
2. Build the project:

   cd MyAddOn
   dotnet build
   

3. Copy to Alibre AddOns folder:

   xcopy /E /Y bin\Debug\net481\* "C:\ProgramData\Alibre Design Data\AddOns\MyAddOn\"
   

Listing Installed Templates

dotnet new list alibre

Uninstalling Templates

dotnet new uninstall AlibreDesign.Templates

Template Source Locations

Templates are installed to:

%USERPROFILE%\.templateengine\dotnetcli\

Creating the NuGet Package (For Maintainers)

From the Templates/dotnet directory:

nuget pack AlibreDesign.Templates.nuspec

Or use the provided PowerShell script:

.\Build-DotnetTemplates.ps1
