ByteFormat
ByteFormat is a lightweight C# library for working with a custom file format designed for simplicity and readability. It was created as an alternative to formats like JSON, with a focus on easy access and understanding, nested structures, and straightforward saving/loading.
A VS Code extension is also planned to add syntax highlighting and file type support.
Features
- Simple key-based storage system
- Nested data support (e.g.
user.stats.level) - Array-like indexing (
list[0]) - Supports strings, numbers, and multi-line values
- Easy to use API

Notes
* This library is designed for simple structured storage, not full JSON replacement.
* Keys are string-based and support hierarchical naming.
* Array syntax uses bracket indexing (items[0]).
* This shouldnt be used in deplyoment since its still getting developed
