Bytewise.Telemetry

The .NET client for Bytewise self-hosted telemetry — events, spans and error capture sent to your own ingest endpoint, not to a third-party analytics vendor.

The ingest URL is the FULL path, not the origin. An origin-only value leaves the client inert — it is the single most common misconfiguration.

What it does

  • Durable offline queue — events survive a process restart and a network outage, and drain when connectivity returns.
  • Deterministic batch identity — a redelivered batch is byte-stable, so the server can deduplicate it instead of double-counting.
  • Gzip transport, bounded payloads, and a fail-closed posture: a missing or rejected key leaves the client silent rather than throwing into your call path.
  • Zero dependencies beyond the BCL.

0.x: the surface is still moving. Every build carries its source commit in AssemblyInformationalVersion.
