CacheOrchestrator.EFCore.Invalidation 2.1.0

Additional Details

Support for 1.x and 2.x versions has ended. You can continue using this existing version for your current projects. Meanwhile, we encourage you to track the development of the new v3 architecture on GitHub and migrate when appropriate. Please note that v3 is a full redesign and is not API compatible with older versions.

There is a newer prerelease version of this package available.
See the version list below for details.

CacheOrchestrator.EFCore.Invalidation

EF Core hook for CacheOrchestrator.

Add this package when cached HTTP responses and Fusion entries should follow your database writes. You map an entity type to a cache domain; after a successful SaveChanges, the matching rows are dropped from the cache.

Install

dotnet add package CacheOrchestrator
dotnet add package CacheOrchestrator.EFCore.Invalidation

Register

builder.Services.AddCacheOrchestrator(builder.Configuration);
builder.Services.AddCacheOrchestratorEfCoreInvalidation(builder.Configuration);

builder.Services.AddDbContext<AppDbContext>((sp, opt) =>
{
    opt.UseSqlServer(cs);
    opt.AddCacheOrchestratorInvalidation(sp);
});

Attach the interceptor on each DbContext with AddCacheOrchestratorInvalidation.

Map and use

protected override void OnModelCreating(ModelBuilder modelBuilder)
{
    modelBuilder.Entity<Product>().CacheInvalidate("store", "products");
}

Use the same domain and kind on the HTTP path:

app.MapGet("/api/products/{id}", async (HttpContext http, int id, IDomainFusionCache cache, AppDbContext db, CancellationToken cancellationToken) =>
{
    var product = await cache.GetOrSetEntityAsync(
        http, "store", "products", id.ToString(),
        ct => db.Products.AsNoTracking().FirstOrDefaultAsync(p => p.Id == id, ct),
        cancellationToken);

    return product is null ? Results.NotFound() : Results.Ok(product);
})
.CacheOutputWithDomain("store", resourceRouteKey: "id", entityKind: "products");

A tracked SaveChanges then purges that product. ExecuteUpdate / ExecuteDelete skip the change tracker; call InvalidateEntitiesAsync yourself in those handlers.

CacheOrchestrator 2.1.0

Additive library updates: Cache:Metrics:IncludeEndpointLabel (optional route tag on OC/FC meters; default true). Local Admin GET …/cluster/info without requiring CacheOrchestrator.Bus. Stats DTOs prefer factoryShare (originShare kept as obsolete synonym). Endpoint key resolved once per request for Admin counters and metrics. Bus skips duplicate cluster/info when Local Admin already maps it.
