A lightweight .NET 10 package for loading application secrets from HashiCorp Vault and mapping them into strongly typed options.

What this package contains

ISecretManager

Common abstraction for secret providers:

  • GetSecretAsync(string key)
  • GetSecretsAsync()

HashiCorpVaultSecretManager

Vault-backed implementation of ISecretManager using VaultSharp:

  • Supports auth methods:
    • Token
    • AppRole
    • Kubernetes
  • Reads secrets from KV v2:
    • MountPoint
    • SecretPath
  • Caches the Vault client instance with thread-safe lazy initialization.
  • In development, can optionally allow invalid TLS certificates and set a custom Host header.

HashiCorpVaultOptions

Configuration model for Vault access:

  • Provider
  • Address
  • AuthMethod
  • Token
  • RoleId / SecretId
  • RoleName / KubernetesJwtPath
  • MountPoint

    • Registers HashiCorpVaultSecretManager when provider is hashicorpvault or vault.
  • MapOptions<T>(IServiceProvider)
    • Loads all secrets and maps them to matching public properties on T.

  • The extension contains an azurekeyvault provider branch, but this repository currently includes only the HashiCorp Vault implementation.
