Extension Development

Draw & GO is developed using microkernel architecture.

The abstract class MacroCommand is located in DrawGo.Plugin.Base library.

You can create extensions for any platform (Android, MacCatalyst, Windows, Tizen, Web).

Because of iOS limitation, there is no reason to create an extension for iOS.

Draw & GO for iOS uses an embedded extension (Not loaded dynamically).

Extension example

  1. Create a .NET library project with a name ending with Extensions, and set Target Framework net8.0.
  2. Install NuGet package DrawGo.Plugin.Base.
  3. Install NuGet package DrawGo.Plugin.MSBuild.
  4. Create a new class derived from DrawGo.Plugin.Base.MacroCommand.
  5. Add DrawGo.Plugin.Base.Attributes.ExportAttribute: [Export(Name = "YOUR MacroCommand name", Category = "Desired category", Description = "Macro Command description", Platform = MacroPlatform.All)].
  6. For all input/output properties add DrawGo.Plugin.Base.Attributes.FieldAttributesAttribute: [FieldAttributes(Name = "MyProperty", Type = DataType.Number)].
  7. Build the NuGet package.

Platform Extensions

Add at the end of the "csproj" file:

<Target Name="IncludePluginsJson" AfterTargets="GeneratePluginsJson" BeforeTargets="Build">

	<ItemGroup>
		<Content Include="plugins.json">
			<CopyToOutputDirectory>Always</CopyToOutputDirectory>
		</Content>
	</ItemGroup>

</Target>
