Ellersoft.Authentication

Provides a set of authentication libraries for basic user password authentication.

Ellersoft.Authentication.Core

Provides the core authentication services for use with authentication methods.

The primary types in this repository are:

Ellersoft.Authentication.Core.Cryptography

  • IPasswordCryptography: an interface for a generic password cryptography provider, such as BCrypt, PBKDF2, etc.;
  • Rfc2898DeriveBytes: a default implementation of PBKDF2;
  • PasswordResult: represents the result of a password hashing algorithm, which is the cryptographic parameters and the password hash;

Ellersoft.Authentication.Core.Parameters

  • IAuthenticationParameters: an interface for generic authentication parameters;
  • UsernamePassword: specified an authentication parameter comprised of a username and password;

Ellersoft.Authentication.Core

  • AuthenticationResult: the result of an authentication request, which is, at it's most basic, the unique ID for the user;
  • BaseAuthentication: a basic authentication provider which should be inherited to create new authentication targets;
  • IAuthentication: an interface which should be requested for authentication code;
