This package contains some simple mock classes for simply testing against classes using StreamReader and StreamWriter. There is nothing fancy here, but since it is hard to use Moq for I/O, these are quick and easy to use if you are writing tests for code that does simple I/O.

MockReader is a static class with two methods which return StreamReader objects:

MockReader.CreateFromStrings(string[] array) creates a line oriented StreamReader where each element of the array becomes a line in the file.

MockReader.CreateFromResource(Assembly assembly, string resourcePath) creates a StreamReader from an embedded resource in an Assembly. This can be used for larger test files stored as embedded resources in a test assembly.

MockWriter is a class which simplifies the process of writing and reading to a memory stream. It contains 3 methods which must be called in the correct order:

MockWriter.GetWriter() returns a StreamWriter object which will write into a memory stream internal to the MockWriter object.

MockWriter.GetReader() returns a StreamReader which will read from the memory stream populated by the StreamWriter object

MockWriter.Close() closes the internal memory stream.
