FsMatrix

… a simple Matrix Client for quickly writing to (unencrypted) rooms.

This is very much the most simple Matrix Client implmenentation possible; Login, write a message, logout. It is like this, because I needn't more so far.

Installation

FsMatrix is available via NuGet:

dotnet add package FsMatrix

or

dotnet paket add FsMatrix

Usage

  1. Create a Context

    use context = Matrix.MatrixClientContext(System.Uri <homeserver uri>, <username>, <password>)

  2. Login (actually optional)

    do! context.Login ()

If you do write a message without logging in, it will try to login then.

  3. Write a Message

    do! context.WriteMessage <RoomId> <HTML formatted message>

Once the context gets disposed, a logout is performed, invalidating tokens and removing the device from the accounts device list again.

context.Log

The context has the Log property, which can be used to inspect the Heimserver's responses, like so:

context.Log <- eprintfn "%s"
