InfiniteNumerics

A simple .NET 8 library for arbitrary-sized numerics. All arithmetic is implemented manually using byte arrays.

Types

  • Infinite - Arbitrary-size signed integer
  • InfiniteFloat - Arbitrary-precision floating-point number (mantissa + exponent, base 10)
  • InfiniteVector2 / InfiniteVector3 / InfiniteVector4 - Vectors with InfiniteFloat components
  • InfiniteMatrix2x2 / InfiniteMatrix3x3 / InfiniteMatrix4x4 - Matrices with InfiniteFloat components

Usage

using InfiniteNumerics;

Infinite a = new Infinite("99999999999999999999999999999");
Infinite b = new Infinite("123456789012345678901234567890");

InfiniteFloat pi = InfiniteFloat.PI;
InfiniteFloat e = InfiniteFloat.E;
InfiniteFloat result = pi * e;

InfiniteVector3 v1 = new InfiniteVector3((InfiniteFloat)"1.5", (InfiniteFloat)"2.5", (InfiniteFloat)"3.5");
InfiniteVector3 v2 = new InfiniteVector3((InfiniteFloat)"4", (InfiniteFloat)"5", (InfiniteFloat)"6");
InfiniteFloat dot = InfiniteVector3.Dot(v1, v2);

Features

  • Implicit conversions from all standard numeric types
  • Full arithmetic and comparison operators
  • Math functions: sqrt, pow, sin, cos, tan, asin, acos, atan
  • Constants: PI, E, Half_PI, D2R, R2D
  • InfiniteFloat division precision is configurable via InfiniteFloat.DefaultDivisionPrecision
