Provides similar functionality  - https://our.umbraco.com/packages/backoffice-extensions/autonode/  - although it looks like only for v7 currently.  That package, unknown to me, existed before mine so please ask the author to provide a v8 version. Thanks.

Specify which content should be auto-created in the autocontent.config file as a set of rules. Create the parent doc type and the children (n-levels deep) will be created automatically when the parent is saved.
