ASP.NET Core Live Monitoring

Enables you to watch live activities happening in the web application:

  • http
  • database (if 'Entity Framework' is used)

How to use

  1. Install nuget-package in an 'ASP.NET Core' project

  2. Register service

       ...
       builder.Services.AddLiveMonitoring();
       ...

  3. Enable middleware

    Choose where to put this middleware component in the HTTP request pipeline.

    Ideally place it as early as possible, considering components like authentication/authorization and HTTPS redirection.

       ...
       app.UseAndMapLiveMonitoring();
       ...

  4. Start the ASP.NET Core application and browse (in a seperate browser tab/window) to /live-monitoring

    • A pre-designed hyperlink is provided as a partial-view named '_LiveMonitoringLinkPartial'
  5. Use the web application
