Lilt.Episerver.LanguageManager

Integrates the Lilt translation platform with Optimizely (EPiServer) CMS, providing a custom translation provider for the Language Manager.

Configuration

This library interacts with the internal Lilt Connector Plugin API. Ensure the host application (Optimizely) provides the necessary endpoint configuration in its appsettings.json:

Optimizely NuGet Package Source

This project utilizes specific Optimizely NuGet packages, which are hosted on Optimizely's private NuGet feed. The nuget.config file at the root of this repository is pre-configured to include this feed (https://nuget.optimizely.com/feed/packages.svc/). This means that when you run dotnet restore, the .NET SDK will automatically discover and download the necessary Optimizely packages without any additional manual configuration steps.

Lilt Connector Plugin API Endpoint

This library is designed to interact with the Lilt Connector Plugin API jobs workflow. It creates a job, uploads a source file, starts the job, polls for translation status, and downloads the completed translation to return a synchronous response to Optimizely.

Integration with Optimizely CMS

To integrate this provider into your Optimizely CMS solution:

  1. Install the package:

    dotnet add package Lilt.Episerver.LanguageManager

  2. Register Services: In the Optimizely project's Program.cs (or Startup.cs) file, within the service configuration section, call the AddLiltProvider extension method:

  3. Configure in UI: Once deployed, navigate to the Language Manager section in the Optimizely admin interface. You should be able to select "Lilt" as a translation provider and configure its ApiKey property directly within the UI.
