LineTen.Messaging.Bus.InMemory

In-process transport for LineTen messaging v3, built on System.Threading.Channels. Intended for tests and local development. Implements the same transport seam as LineTen.Messaging.Bus.AzureServiceBus and passes the same conformance fixture.

UseInMemory<TBus>(InMemoryTransportOptions? options = null). Defaults to InMemoryTransportOptions.ForTest().

Options

Option Default Purpose
DefaultChannelCapacity 1000 Bounded capacity per channel.
EnvironmentOverride "Test" via ForTest() Used instead of ASPNETCORE_ENVIRONMENT for the construction guard below.

Behaviour

  • Construction throws InvalidOperationException unless the effective environment (EnvironmentOverride, else ASPNETCORE_ENVIRONMENT) is Development, Test or Staging.
  • One channel per subscription; filters are evaluated in-process with the same semantics as the Service Bus SQL filters.
  • Each live subscription has a paired dead-letter channel. Dead-lettering clones the in-flight message onto it with a synthesised DeadLetterContext.
  • IMessageContext exposes MessageId, CorrelationId, DeliveryCount, EnqueuedAtUtc and Properties from the published envelope.
  • No redelivery: DeliveryCount is 1 on the live channel.
  • No payload size limit.
