Livetoon.TorchSharp

Livetoon.TorchSharp is an unofficial NuGet runtime bundle that pairs TorchSharp 0.105.0 with CPU libtorch native payloads for the runtime IDs used by Livetoon services.

Install the consumer-facing bundle package:

dotnet add package Livetoon.TorchSharp-cpu --version 0.105.0-livetoon.3

Packages

  • Livetoon.TorchSharp-cpu: consumer-facing bundle package
  • Livetoon.TorchSharp: managed TorchSharp dependency bridge
  • Livetoon.libtorch-cpu: runtime bundle package
  • Livetoon.libtorch-cpu-linux-x64: Linux x64 native payload
  • Livetoon.libtorch-cpu-linux-arm64: Linux ARM64 native payload
  • Livetoon.libtorch-cpu-osx-arm64: macOS ARM64 native payload

The package set supports linux-x64, linux-arm64, and osx-arm64. Consumers should normally reference only Livetoon.TorchSharp-cpu; NuGet resolves the managed TorchSharp dependency and the native runtime packages.

Relationship To TorchSharp And PyTorch

These packages are not official TorchSharp or PyTorch packages, and they are not endorsed by the TorchSharp, PyTorch, Meta, Microsoft, or .NET Foundation projects. They redistribute selected TorchSharp and libtorch/PyTorch runtime components under the upstream license terms preserved in this repository.

Local Packaging

Stage the upstream linux-x64 and osx-arm64 runtime payloads:

./scripts/stage-upstream-runtime-assets.sh linux-x64 osx-arm64

Stage the linux-arm64 payload from prebuilt local outputs:

PYTORCH_ARM64_LIB_DIR=/path/to/pytorch/build/lib \
TORCHSHARP_ARM64_LIB_DIR=/path/to/torchsharp/native \
./scripts/build-linux-arm64-libtorch.sh

If additional private native dependencies are in a separate directory, pass it with PYTORCH_ARM64_EXTRA_LIB_DIR.

PYTORCH_ARM64_LIB_DIR=/path/to/torch/lib \
PYTORCH_ARM64_EXTRA_LIB_DIR=/path/to/torch.libs \
TORCHSHARP_ARM64_LIB_DIR=/path/to/torchsharp/native \
./scripts/build-linux-arm64-libtorch.sh

When no prebuilt ARM64 directories are provided, CI extracts libtorch from the official Linux ARM64 PyTorch wheel and builds LibTorchSharp.so from the TorchSharp source tag. The ARM64 native build runs in Debian 12 so the backend runtime and libstdc++ ABI stay aligned. Extra dependencies from torch.libs/ are included to avoid missing OpenBLAS, Arm Compute, or OpenMP libraries.

Create all packages locally after staging every RID:

./scripts/pack-local.sh

Use --skip-arm64 when the Linux ARM64 payload is not available locally:

./scripts/pack-local.sh --skip-arm64

Generated .nupkg files are written to artifacts/packages. Staged native files live under artifacts/staging/<rid>/native.

Publishing

NuGet.org publishing is handled by the Publish Livetoon.TorchSharp Packages to NuGet.org GitHub Actions workflow. The workflow expects a repository secret named NUGET_API_KEY.

Before the first NuGet.org release:

  • confirm that the Livetoon.* package IDs are still available
  • reserve the Livetoon package ID prefix on NuGet.org if desired
  • make this repository public so package project and repository links resolve
  • run the workflow with package version 0.105.0-livetoon.3

NuGet.org has an upload size limit of about 250 MB per package. The workflow checks package sizes before pushing.

License

Livetoon package metadata and repository glue are MIT licensed. These packages also redistribute TorchSharp and libtorch/PyTorch components. See LICENSE.txt and THIRD-PARTY-NOTICES.md for the full notices included in each NuGet package.

There are no supported framework assets in this package.
