Herald.Sinks.AzureEventHub

Publishes Herald log events as messages to an Azure Event Hubs partition via EventHubProducerClient. Drop-in for Serilog.Sinks.AzureEventHub. Pairs with Herald.Sinks.Kafka for multi-cloud streaming setups.

The sink auto-registers into LogSinkProviderRegistry.Default via a [ModuleInitializer] on assembly load. No manual RegisterAll(...) or With*SinkProviders() call is required — dotnet add package is the whole workflow.

Sink kind: azure_event_hub (the identifier the Dashboard form and JSON config use to reference this sink).

Capabilities

  • EventDataBatch with TryAdd → split-and-resend on 1 MB ceiling
  • DefaultAzureCredential overload for managed-identity scenarios
  • level / category copied to AMQP application-properties for routing
