Model-Driven App View Column Width Helper

An XrmToolBox tool for Dataverse / Dynamics 365 makers and admins to inspect, standardise, back up, and safely update model-driven app system view settings stored in the savedquery table.

Features

  • Connect through the active XrmToolBox Dataverse connection.
  • Load tables and their public system views; parse layoutxml column widths.
  • Validate and edit column widths (with presets), single view or bulk across checked views.
  • Copy primary-table sorting/filter (fetchxml) from a reference view to checked views.
  • Add missing reference columns to checked views.
  • Rename system views — single or bulk (prefix / suffix / find-&-replace), with prefill.
  • Back up every affected view before any write; publish only the selected table; verify after publish.
  • Restore from local backups (layout, fetch, and name); export operation reports; daily activity logs.

Safety

  • Writes are scoped to savedquery layoutxml, fetchxml (primary-table query parts only), and name.
  • A backup is always created before a Dataverse write, and only the selected table is published.

Usage

Install from the XrmToolBox Tool Library, open Model-Driven App View Column Width Helper, connect to your environment, and use Test Connection → Load Table → Reload Views/Columns.

There are no supported framework assets in this package.
