Mediarq.Diagnostics
Emit an Activity (trace) and metrics (request count + duration) for every dispatched request, under the
"Mediarq" source/meter — OpenTelemetry-compatible.
dotnet add package Mediarq.Diagnostics
Usage
builder.Services.AddMediarqDiagnostics(); // call AFTER AddMediarq / AddMediarqCore
⚠️ Register it after the core: it decorates the notification publisher, which must already be registered.
Collect the data with OpenTelemetry (see Mediarq.OpenTelemetry for one-line wiring) or any
System.Diagnostics listener:
builder.Services.AddOpenTelemetry()
.WithTracing(t => t.AddMediarqInstrumentation().AddOtlpExporter())
.WithMetrics(m => m.AddMediarqInstrumentation().AddOtlpExporter());
Instruments: mediarq.requests.count and mediarq.requests.duration.
Every activity and the messaging.client.operation.duration histogram also carry the subset of the
OpenTelemetry semantic conventions for messaging
that apply to an in-process mediator (messaging.system, messaging.operation.type,
messaging.destination.name, messaging.message.id, messaging.batch.message_count, error.type) —
additive, alongside the mediarq.* tags/metrics above, which are unchanged.

Mediarq
Lean meta-package bundling Mediarq.Core and the lightweight extensions: ASP.NET Core, FluentValidation, DataAnnotations, Caching, Diagnostics and UnitOfWork. Heavy or opinionated integrations (EntityFrameworkCore, OpenTelemetry, MassTransit, Polly) ship as separate packages — install them explicitly when you need them. |

Mediarq.OpenTelemetry
OpenTelemetry instrumentation for Mediarq: one-line AddMediarqInstrumentation() that subscribes the tracer and meter providers to the Mediarq activity source and metrics. |
