MonMediator

MonMediator is a self-contained, in-process mediator library for .NET applications. It helps you organize application logic by separating request senders from request handlers, reducing direct dependencies between services, controllers, components, and business workflows.

The package supports common mediator patterns, including commands, queries, notifications, and streaming requests. Requests are dispatched to their corresponding handlers within the same application process, without requiring an external message broker, distributed queue, or additional infrastructure.

MonMediator includes a flexible pipeline system that allows cross-cutting concerns to be executed before and after request handlers. Pipeline behaviors can be used to implement validation, logging, authorization, performance measurement, transaction management, caching, exception handling, and other reusable processing rules.

The notification system supports publishing a single event to multiple handlers, making it suitable for scenarios where several independent operations must respond to the same application event.

Streaming support allows handlers to produce asynchronous sequences of results, which is useful for processing large datasets, incremental responses, background-style workflows, and scenarios where results should be consumed as they become available.

MonMediator also provides dependency-injection scanning, allowing request handlers, notification handlers, stream handlers, pipeline behaviors, and validators to be discovered and registered automatically from one or more assemblies.

Fluent validation capabilities are embedded directly into the package, enabling validation rules to be defined close to the related request models and executed automatically through the mediator pipeline. This reduces repetitive validation code and provides a consistent validation mechanism across the application.
