NetVerticalSlice.Wpf.Templates

dotnet new templates for WPF desktop applications built on Vertical Slice Architecture.

The desktop companion of NetVerticalSlice.Templates (Wolverine VSA Web API). Both share the same Response<T> / Error / PagedList<T> envelope and the same slice layout, so a client generated with --DataSource RemoteApi consumes an API generated by vsa-webapi with no glue code.

Install

dotnet new install NetVerticalSlice.Wpf.Templates

Use

dotnet new vsa-wpf -n Acme.Desktop

dotnet new vsa-wpf -n Acme.Client -D RemoteApi -A RemoteJwt

Then, from inside the generated project:

dotnet new vsa-wpf-feature -n Product --RootNamespace Acme.Desktop --Category Catalog --GenerateEntity

Options

What is included

• MVVM — CommunityToolkit.Mvvm source generators
• UI — WPF-UI (Fluent / Windows 11), light and dark, NavigationView shell, snackbars, dialogs
• CQRS — in-process dispatcher with a DI scope per dispatch, plus validation, exception and logging pipeline behaviours
• Validation — FluentValidation, with failures bound straight onto the form fields
• Data — EF Core with soft delete, audit columns and paging, or Refit with retries and timeouts
• Auth — optional sign-in window; local hashed passwords, or JWT with a DPAPI-protected refresh token
• Localization — English and Arabic, switched at runtime, with automatic right-to-left layout
• Hosting — Generic Host, IOptions<T>, Serilog to %LOCALAPPDATA%, single-instance guard
• Tests — xUnit covering handlers and ViewModels

Requires the .NET 10 SDK and Windows.
