Development Instructions

Local Development

Configure mcp host to use the current package like this:

"networkCopilotDotnetLocalMCP":{
      "type": "stdio",
      "command": "dotnet",
      "args": [
        "run",
        "--project",
        "<pathToCsProjFile>"
      ]
    }

Make changes and restart the tool in the MCP host.

Nuget Package

Packaging

Update the package version in ./src/Network.Copilot.MCP/Network.Copilot.MCP.csproj

Run dotnet pack -c Release to create the package.

Navigate to the src/Network.Copilot.MCP folder and run dotnet nuget push ./bin/Release/<nupkgFileName>.nupkg --api-key <yourApiKey> --source https://api.nuget.org/v3/index.json to publish the package.

Install dotnet 10 SDK, so you can run the nuget package with dnx command
