How it Works
- Prepare: You place any files into the
files/directory. - Pack: You create a NuGet package (
.nupkg) containing these files. - Publish: You push the package to nuget.org.
Workflow
1. Add Files
Place the files into the files/ folder in this directory.
2. Create the Package
Run the following command to pack everything in files/ into a single .nupkg:
dotnet pack -c Release
The package will be created in bin/Release/ (e.g., NugetTrans.1.0.0.nupkg).
Tip: You can change the Version or PackageId in NugetTrans.csproj before packing if you need to upload multiple batches.
3. Publish to Nuget.org
Push the package using your API key:
dotnet nuget push bin/Release/NugetTrans.1.0.2.nupkg --api-key <YOUR_API_KEY> --source https://api.nuget.org/v3/index.json
4. Extract Data on the Secured/Offline Machine
Once the package is available on the target machine (via nuget install, dotnet add package, or direct download):
Option A: Treat it as a Zip file (Easiest)
- Locate the downloaded
.nupkgfile. - Rename the extension from
.nupkgto.zip. - Extract the zip file.
- Navigate to
content/filesto find your data.
Option B: Using NuGet CLI
nuget install NugetTrans -Version 1.0.2 -OutputDirectory destination_folder
Your files will be in destination_folder/NugetTrans.1.0.2/content/files.
