Palm.SurrealDB.EntityFrameworkCore

Entity Framework Core provider for SurrealDB, built on the Palm.SurrealDB.Net client and the Palm.SurrealDB.Net.SurrealQL AST. Queries translate to a single parameterized SurrealQL statement; SaveChanges becomes one atomic transaction block of CREATE/UPDATE/DELETE.

Part of the Palm.SurrealDB ecosystem for SurrealDB 3.x.

Installation

dotnet add package Palm.SurrealDB.EntityFrameworkCore

Targets net10.0. The package is proprietary and sets PackageRequireLicenseAcceptance, so NuGet prompts before installing — see LICENSE. Nothing is on NuGet.org until the first release runs; see docs/RELEASING.md.

Notes

Known limitations, each filed with a reproduction rather than left to discovery: change tracking is not implemented (so Find/FindAsync are unavailable), Include/ThenInclude cannot reach a record-link or graph-edge navigation, GroupBy(...).Select(g => g.Count()) is rewritten by EF into a correlated subquery the translator does not recognise, and a version-guard miss does not roll back the rest of its SaveChanges batch. See the roadmap and LESSONS-LEARNED.md.
