Palm.SurrealDB.EntityFrameworkCore.Migrations

Convergent schema management for the SurrealDB EF Core provider.

This is not EF migrations. Every load-bearing EF migrations type lives in Microsoft.EntityFrameworkCore.Relational, which this provider does not take a dependency on, so there is no __EFMigrationsHistory, no snapshot file, and no Up/Down. Instead the model is diffed against the live server's own INFO output and converged: desired schema from IModel, actual schema parsed by SurqlParser, difference emitted as DEFINE/REMOVE statements.

Installation

dotnet add package Palm.SurrealDB.EntityFrameworkCore.Migrations

Targets net10.0. The package is proprietary and sets PackageRequireLicenseAcceptance, so NuGet prompts before installing — see LICENSE. Nothing is on NuGet.org until the first release runs; see docs/RELEASING.md.

Notes

Tables are never dropped by a sync. A table present on the server and absent from the model is reported as externally managed, not removed. Destructive field operations are policy-gated and throw by default.
