QuestPDF End User License Agreement

Marcin Ziąbek CodeFlint ("the CodeFlint") hereby grants you a non-exclusive license to the QuestPDF library for .NET software ("the Software").

Do not harm

By downloading or using the Software, the Licensee agrees not to utilize the software in a manner which is disparaging to CodeFlint, and not to rent, lease or otherwise transfer rights to the Software. The Licensee agrees that no attempt will be made by the Licensee or associated parties to translate, reverse engineer, modify, decompile, disassemble or distribute the Software.

License permissions

Free

Grants the use of the Software by any number of developers. The license covers deployment of ONLY NON-COMMERCIAL products. The Software is available under the CC-BY-NC-SA license. More information about the license can be found on this webpage.

Users of the free license have, and will always have, access to all library's features. The only limitation is a small attribution displayed on each rendered page. The attribution is in a form of a small image presenting the library's logo.

Pro

Grants the use of the Software by exactly ONE developer. The license covers deployment within ONE web-application, intranet application or desktop software application, for the use of ONE end user or ONE organization. This license can be used for any commercial project without attribution as long as the project is created by a single person. A commercial work created by multiple developers or an organization is NOT eligible for this license.

Team

Grants the use of the Software by a any number of developers to create and deploy software for unlimited end user organizations ("The Organization") in multiple locations. This license covers deployment of ONLY ONE application. The Software may be deployed upon any number of machines for the end-use of The Organization. This license also intrinsically covers for development, staging and production servers for each project.

Distribution

You may distribute the Software in any applications, frameworks, or elements (collectively referred to as an “Application” or “Applications”) that you develop using the Software in accordance with this License Agreement, provided that such distribution does not violate the restrictions set forth in section 4 of this License Agreement. You must not remove, obscure or interfere with any copyright, acknowledgment, attribution, trademark, warning or disclaimer statement affixed to, incorporated in or otherwise applied in connection with the Software.

You are required to ensure that the Software is not reused by or with any applications other than those with which You distribute it as permitted herein. For example, if You install the Software on a customer’s server, that customer is not permitted to use the Software independently of Your application, and must be informed as such.

You will not owe Us any royalties for Your distribution of the Software in accordance with this License Agreement.

Prohibited uses

You may not, without Our prior written consent, redistribute the Software or Modifications other than by including the Software or a portion thereof within Your own product, which must have substantially different functionality than the Software or Modifications and must not allow any third party to use the Software or Modifications, or any portions thereof, for software development or application development purposes. You are explicitly not allowed to redistribute the Software or Modifications as part of any product that can be described as a development toolkit or library, an application builder, a website builder or any product that is intended for use by software, application, or website developers or designers. You may not change or remove the copyright notice from any of the files included in the Software or Modifications.

You may not redistribute the Software as part of a product, "appliance" or "virtual server". You may not redistribute the Software on any server which is not directly under Your control.

UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES MAY YOU USE THE SOFTWARE FOR A PRODUCT THAT IS INTENDED FOR SOFTWARE OR APPLICATION DEVELOPMENT PURPOSES, NOR A PDF RENDERING APPLICATION IN ITS SELF.

Ownership

CodeFlint shall at all times retain ownership of the QuestPDF Library and all subsequent copies.

Copyright

Title, ownership rights, and intellectual property rights in and to the Software shall remain with CodeFlint. The Software is protected by the international copyright laws. Title, ownership rights, and intellectual property rights in and to the content accessed through the Software is the property of the applicable content owner and may be protected by applicable copyright or other law. This License gives you no rights to such content.

Support and updates

This license does not provide a Service Level Agreement, nor does it imply that CodeFlint is responsible for successful deployment, maintenance nor business function of The Software. This license grants the right to all future product updates. Support is provided via our issue trackers or via email in good faith directly by our product teams without an SLA. However, we aim to answer all queries within 2 working days, resolving issues that can be replicated inline with product release scheduling.

Limitation of liability

THIS SOFTWARE IS PROVIDED "AS IS," WITHOUT A WARRANTY OF ANY KIND. ALL EXPRESS OR IMPLIED CONDITIONS, REPRESENTATIONS AND WARRANTIES, INCLUDING ANY IMPLIED WARRANTY OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE OR NON-INFRINGEMENT, ARE HEREBY EXCLUDED. CODEFLINT AND ITS LICENSORS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY DAMAGES SUFFERED BY LICENSEE AS A RESULT OF USING, MODIFYING OR DISTRIBUTING THE SOFTWARE OR ITS DERIVATIVES. IN NO EVENT WILL CODEFLINT OR ITS LICENSORS BE LIABLE FOR ANY LOST REVENUE, PROFIT OR DATA, OR FOR DIRECT, INDIRECT, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, INCIDENTAL OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, HOWEVER CAUSED AND REGARDLESS OF THE THEORY OF LIABILITY, ARISING OUT OF THE USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE SOFTWARE, EVEN IF CODEFLINT HAS BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.
