NuGet Test Package

This project is a small end-to-end NuGet example:

  • src/Replit.NuGetSample is the package that gets packed.
  • sample/Replit.NuGetSample.Demo is a console app that consumes the library.
  • tests/Replit.NuGetSample.Tests contains unit tests for the package API.

The package's default ID is Replit.NuGetSample. NuGet package IDs are global, so set a unique PACKAGE_ID before publishing if that ID is already taken.

Run locally

From this directory:

dotnet test NuGetTest.sln
dotnet run --project sample/Replit.NuGetSample.Demo -- "Ada Lovelace"

The .nupkg and .snupkg files are written to nuget-test/artifacts/.

Publish

Publishing requires the NUGET_API_KEY secret to be configured in the project. The key is never committed to source control or printed by the script.

NUGET_API_KEY=... PACKAGE_ID=YourUnique.Package ./scripts/publish.sh

The publish script runs the tests, creates the package, and pushes both the package and symbols to nuget.org with --skip-duplicate.
