Introduction
This project is to directly share our Ringler Quote Platform objects directly with the UserInterface front end project.
The Namespace To Use In Your Projects
using Ringler.RQP.Quoting.Contracts;
Getting Started
Increment the version number in the project properties for each new release, set the build to release, and build the project to create the .nupkg file in the /bin/release folder.
- Add Project reference to your project to use
- For NuGet package management:
- Build must be set to release to build the .nupkg file, which is then uploaded to the NuGet server for the UserInterface and any other internal projects to consume.
- To build locally for Visual Studio (2022) IDE, you can just drop the .nupkg file into your
C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft SDKs\NuGetPackages\folder and when managing your packages in the solution, change your package source to 'Visual Studio Offline packages'. - To build locally for Visual Studio Code, manually enter the spec in the .csproj and Directory.Package.props files.
Software dependencies
- .NET 8.0
Latest releases
- 1.0.1 - 1.0.5 were all test releases
- 1.0.6 and higher are tied to the Contracts project repo in Azure DevOps now
API references
- RestEndpoint → UserInterface repositories
Usage
- Tests classes are examples of how contracts are built and sent to and from the UserInterface & RestEndpoint projects
- All Enums have the same structure to account for different legacy designations but should all be used with the CamelCaseName Attribute as a string in contract communications, so debugging (messaging, logging, temp cache storage) is all stored in readable text.
- Utils EnumExtensions class is used for Enum conversions, primarily for a string as the CamelCaseName Attribute.
