Rwx.DistributedLocking.Abstractions

Distributed lock contract for applications that need to serialize work across multiple instances/replicas without selecting a locking implementation.

Install

Depend on Rwx.DistributedLocking.IDistributedLock in the use case, then register an adapter in the host. Rwx.DistributedLocking.Redis provides the Redis-backed implementation.

Boundaries

A distributed lock protects against concurrent execution, not correctness on its own — prefer a database constraint (unique index, SELECT ... FOR UPDATE) when the operation is already backed by a database that can enforce it. Reach for this when the operation isn't naturally idempotent or constraint-protected (e.g. "only one replica should run this migration/maintenance job at a time").
