SelectPdf HTML to PDF for .NET on Linux x64 and Docker — Community Edition (FREE)

Free HTML to PDF for .NET on Linux x64 and in Docker, rendered by Chromium (HTML5, CSS3, web fonts, JavaScript).

This package has no code of its own. It installs the free SelectPdf.HtmlToPdf.Universal Community Edition together with the engine package SelectPdf.Universal.Native.linux-x64, for x64 servers and containers. For Linux ARM64, use SelectPdf.HtmlToPdf.Linux.Arm64 instead. Reference only one of the two: both engine packages install into the same folder.

Docker

The engine package bundles the Chromium libraries, so the image needs no apt-get lines:

Build and run it on an x64 host, or pass --platform linux/amd64 to docker build on another one.

Requirements and limits

• .NET 10, .NET 9 or .NET 8. Verified with .NET 11 RC 1.
• Linux with glibc 2.30 or later (Debian 11+, Ubuntu 20.04+, RHEL 9+), which includes the official .NET images. On Alpine (musl), reference SelectPdf.HtmlToPdf.Universal alone and convert through the remote engine (RenderingEngine.ChromiumRemote).
• Free for personal and commercial use, up to 5 pages per document. When a document is longer, converter.ConversionResult.PdfPageCountBeforeLimit is greater than PdfPageCount.
• Linux hosts and containers often have no fonts installed. The library has built-in fonts for Latin scripts; add SelectPdf.Universal.Fonts to render every language.

The same package exists for the other platforms: SelectPdf.HtmlToPdf.Windows (Windows x64), SelectPdf.HtmlToPdf.Linux.Arm64 (Linux ARM64), SelectPdf.HtmlToPdf.MacOS (macOS on Apple Silicon). For several platforms in one project, reference SelectPdf.HtmlToPdf.Universal and pick the SelectPdf.Universal.Native.<rid> package per build.

The licensed SelectPdf.Universal package has no page limit and adds PDF creation and editing, Word to PDF, digital signatures, PDF/UA and more. Both use the SelectPdf.Universal namespace, so moving up needs no code change.
