Installation

Prerequisites

The package auto-detects the backoffice generation: the AngularJS dashboard is used on Umbraco 13, and the Web Components dashboard on Umbraco 14+.

Steps

Via .NET CLI

Via Package Manager Console

Install-Package Umbraco.Community.SkynetAccessibilityScanner

Then build and run your site. Open the backoffice, go to the Settings section, and select the Accessibility Scanner dashboard. On first load, your site's domain is registered on the 10-day free trial and a sitemap scan starts automatically.

Setup

The package works with zero configuration. To override defaults, add the following section to your appsettings.json file:

Set Domain when your backoffice host differs from the public domain you want scanned (for example, backoffice on cms.example.com with the site on www.example.com, or a local development backoffice).

Network Configuration

All requests to the scanning service are made server-side in .NET, so no browser CORS configuration is required. Ensure your server's outbound firewall allows HTTPS access to the following domain.

Instructions

1. Ensure your server can reach https://skynetaccessibilityscan.com over HTTPS (port 443).
2. If you use an outbound proxy or firewall allowlist, add this domain to it.
3. Verify the application functionality by opening the Accessibility Scanner dashboard in the backoffice.
4. If issues persist, check the Umbraco log (umbraco/Logs) for entries from Skynet.Umbraco.AccessibilityScanner.
