Uniform.Messaging.ActiveMq

Apache ActiveMQ Artemis messaging provider for the Uniform microservice framework.

How it works

Uniform concept ActiveMQ Artemis mapping
Message type (exchange) Address with MULTICAST routing, named after the full CLR type name
Service queue Durable Queue on the address, named {address}::{service}
Dead letter Anycast queue {service}.deadletter
Retry with delay New multicast message with ScheduledDeliveryTime set
Skip / Expire Anycast queues {service}.skipped / {service}.expired
Request / Reply Anycast queue {service}.replies + CorrelationId matching

Addresses and queues are created automatically on startup via ITopologyManager. The pull-based IConsumer.ReceiveAsync loop is wrapped in a SemaphoreSlim to respect MaxConcurrentConsumers as backpressure.

Usage

await Starter<MyUniform>.Create(args)
    .AddModule<ActiveMqModule>()
    .Start();

Configuration

    "Password": "admin",
    "UseTls": false,
    "MaxConcurrentConsumers": 10,
    "RequestTimeoutSeconds": 30
  }
}

Username and Password are required. UseTls defaults to false; set it to true and point at port 5671 for AMQPS connections. The default AMQP port for ActiveMQ Artemis is 5672.
