WebCrawl MCP Server

An MCP (Model Context Protocol) server that crawls web pages and returns their text content.

Prerequisites

Crawl

Crawls a web page at the given URL and returns its text content.

Parameters:

Name Type Description
url string The URL of the web page to crawl.

The tool fetches the HTML from the specified URL, strips scripts, styles, and tags, decodes HTML entities, and returns clean readable text.

Getting Started

Build

dotnet build

Run

dotnet run --project WebCrawl

The server communicates over stdio using the MCP protocol.

Install as an MCP Server

Add the following to your MCP client configuration:
