WSU ASIS Alerts

This package contains a set of tools to make it easy to add alerts to a page. Alert objects are stored in the ITempDataDictionary and there are a set of extension methods for adding and retrieving alerts.

To add alerts, you can either manually add them to the ITempDataDictionary, for example in a razor page:

this.TempData.AddAlert(AlertType.Info, "Here's some info");

Or by using the provided extension methods on the ActionResult you are returning:

return this.Page()
    .WithInfo("Here's some info");

To get the alerts, use the provided extension method:

Alert[] alerts = this.TempData.GetAlerts();
