Getting Started

To use this nuget package, just install the desired version as you normally install nuget packs. If you are creating an Android-binding for a native library that has Rootbeer-lib java lib dependency, you can add this package to your binding project to get the native jar-libs pulled in automatically.

Usage

For .Net8 you will need to also use https://www.nuget.org/packages/XDev.Android.MavenBinding.Tasks to allow MSbuild to resolve the native dependency. Using the MavenBinding Task should resolve the native dependency to this package, but if it does not, you can tell MSbuild exactly where to find it by adding JavaArtifact and JavaVersion attributes:

Build and Test

XamPrototype.Android.MavenBinding.Tasks is being integrated into .Net9 SDK build tools, and the usage rolls forward in .Net9, but no longer needs the nuget package for the build tool. https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/dotnet/android/features/maven/android-maven-library

Known issues

.net9 SDk does not play well with this repo, so the global.json is set to use .net8 SDK to help local builds. This should not be a problem for consuming this package in .net9 projects, but if you want to build this repo locally, you will need to have .net8 SDK installed.
