zplcore – command line tool for zplCore.com

zplcore renders and checks Zebra labels from the command line, built on the zplCore.com engine (High Performance .NET Labelprint Engine). It runs offline on Windows, Linux and macOS and is made for scripts and CI pipelines.

• Render ZPL II and EPL2 to PNG, JPEG, WebP, BMP, GIF, PDF, TIFF, SVG, EPS, HTML, GRF, PCX, PCL, EPL, Fingerprint or ESC/POS
• Convert EPL to ZPL, format and diff ZPL, validate labels with line numbers
• Barcodes: generate any of the supported symbologies to PNG, SVG, PDF, EPS or JPEG
• Checks for CI: compliance pre-checks (GS1 logistic label, Sunrise 2027, Amazon FBA, UPS, UDI, FedEx, DHL, RFID), scan-proof (decodes every barcode with two decoders, X-dimension, quiet zones, grade), snapshot tests; JUnit XML, SARIF, JSON and Markdown reports
• Import, extract, redact: ZPL to editable label JSON, texts/barcodes/entities per label, mask personal data
• Vector-Lift: PDF or SVG labels to native ZPL; GS1 Digital Link migration; RFID EPC encode/decode/check
• Virtual printer on TCP 9100 for tests, and printer profiles (zplcore twin)

Install

dotnet tool install -g ZplCore.Cli      # installs the command "zplcore"
zplcore --help

You need the .NET 10 runtime. On macOS and Linux, global tools are installed in ~/.dotnet/tools.

Licence key

--license <key|file> (any command), or ZPLCORE_LICENSE, ZPLCORE_LICENSE_FILE, or a file zplcore.license next to the tool. The key is checked offline. Without a key the tool runs in evaluation mode and outputs carry a watermark.
