amzinet.core

amzinet.core is a managed .NET interface for Amzi Prolog Logic Server.

The package provides a compatibility wrapper around the Amzi Logic Server API so .NET applications can initialize the engine, load XPL files, execute predicates, assert/retract facts, and exchange terms/arguments without rewriting existing integration code.

What this package does

  • Exposes the classic amzinet namespace and LogicServer / LSException API surface.
  • Supports .NET Core applications through netstandard2.0 compatibility.
  • Targets netstandard2.0 for broad compatibility with modern .NET applications.
  • Ships the native amzi.dll used by the wrapper.
  • Adds a build-transitive target that copies amzi.dll to the app output folder on Windows builds.

How it works

LogicServer wraps the native Logic Server entry points through P/Invoke and preserves the legacy calling model used by existing Amzi .NET integrations:

  • initialize with Init / Init2
  • load compiled Prolog with Load
  • call predicates with ExecStr / CallStr
  • access terms, args, lists, and unification helpers

Important runtime requirement

amzi.dll must be discoverable at runtime.

If amzi.dll cannot be found, calls into LogicServer will fail when native entry points are resolved.

The package includes amzi.dll and attempts to copy it into your build output for Windows projects, but you should still verify your final deployment layout contains amzi.dll next to your application binaries (or on PATH).
