An agent-first command-line interface for understanding, analyzing, validating, and safely modifying .NET codebases.

The repository and .NET tool package are named dotnet-axi. The installed command is dnaxi.

Install 0.3.0

dotnet-axi 0.3.0 requires the .NET 10 SDK. Install it as a global tool:

Or pin it in a repository-local tool manifest:

With .NET 10 or later, run it once without a persistent installation:

Version 0.3.0 adds bounded file, literal-text, .NET regular-expression, and stable Roslyn syntax discovery to the passive workspace home, structured help, and version output shipped in 0.2.0. Treat the installed version's help and reported capabilities as authoritative. See the 0.3.0 release notes for the exact surface, measured Codex evidence, and known limitations.

Source discovery

Search normalized paths or literal source text without a persistent index:

Use .NET regular-expression semantics explicitly, or request a stable syntax shape backed by Roslyn:

dnaxi search syntax invocation --name Record --path . --limit 20

Syntax results are candidates for the requested shape, not compiler-verified symbol identity. Use the returned retrieval command only when the bounded response omits rows that are needed.

The repository uses the .NET SDK selected by global.json.
