CommittableQueue<T>

A queue that groups completed elements together and emits the group when it reaches a specific size.

The idea behind this queue is that for lots of objects that should be processed only a limited number of checkpoints should be written. The queue takes all objects, waits until a group of objects is marked as completed, and then emits the latest completed object. Then for only this object a checkpoint can be written which in turn also marks all previous objects as successfully processed.

Imagine a CommittableQueue is initialized with a MinCompletionCount of four. After pushing a few objects into the queue (1 was pushed first), the queue might look like this:

[7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1]

Now some objects are marked as completed:

[7 ✔, 6, 5, 4 ✔, 3, 2 ✔, 1]

When completing object 3 all consecutively completed objects are grouped together resulting in a smaller list (saving memory) only the latest object of the group is kept:

[7 ✔, 6, 5, 4 ✔, 1]

When completing object 5, there are four objects completed in a row. As the object 1 is not yet completed, it is not allowed to emit the group:

[7 ✔, 6, 5 ✔, 1]

Now object 1 is completed and the object at the first dequeue-position is completed and also stands for at least minCompletionCount objects:

[7 ✔, 6, 5 ✔]

Therefore the object 5 is about to be dequeued (FIFO), completed and stands for at least 4 completed objects. The object is now emitted by DequeueAsync(CancellationToken, bool) resulting in a queue like this:

[7 ✔, 6]
