🚀 Getting Started

Install OpenMSI as a .NET tool (recommended):

dotnet tool install openmsi --global

Initialize your project using one of the embedded templates or a community template:

# For an embedded template
openmsi init Welcome_LicenseAgreement_Config_Browse

# For templates from internet
openmsi init https://openmsi.dev/downloads/templates/welcome-browse.7z

Embedded templates cover the most common installer scenarios:

• NoUI
• Welcome
• Welcome_Browse (Default)
• Welcome_Config
• Welcome_LicenseAgreement
• Welcome_LicenseAgreement_Browse
• Welcome_LicenseAgreement_Config
• Welcome_LicenseAgreement_Config_Browse

You’ll be prompted for basic information (Manufacturer, Product name, Publish folder, etc.).
