Appulse.Storage.Postgres

This package provides the official PostgreSQL storage implementation for Appulse. It is responsible for draining logs from the in-memory channel and persisting them to a PostgreSQL database.

Features

  • True Bulk Inserts: Uses Dapper with Postgres UNNEST and JSONB data types to insert thousands of log entries in a single network round-trip.
  • DbUp Migrations: Automatically manages and creates the required database schema (http_logs, app_logs, exception_logs, whitelist_rules) on startup.
  • Background Workers: Uses IHostedService to run data persistence and retention cleanup asynchronously, keeping your main thread free.

Configuration

In your Program.cs:

Note: This package handles data storage. You still need a composition root (like Appulse.AspNetCore or Appulse.Server) to wire up the rest of the Appulse ecosystem.
