AutoPost.Client
HTTP client for calling an AutoPost API server. Use this when your sending is done by a remote service (your own API or a hosted AutoPost backend) instead of in-process providers.
Installation
dotnet add package AutoPost.Client
dotnet add package AutoPost.DependencyInjection
When to use
- In-process sending (default): Use AutoPost + AutoPost.Mail.Providers.Smtp or Resend. No API server; the SDK sends directly.
- Remote API: Use AutoPost.Client when you have an AutoPost-compatible HTTP API and want the SDK to call it (e.g.
POST /api/send-emailwith API key auth).
Configuration
services.AddHttpClient<IAutoPostApiClient, AutoPostApiClient>(client =>
{
client.BaseAddress = new Uri("https://your-autopost-api.com");
});
// Configure API key (e.g. via ApiKeyHandler or options)
Then use IAutoPostApiClient.SendEmailAsync(SendEmailRequest) to send via the API. The facade (AutoPost) can be wired to use this client instead of in-process providers if you extend DI accordingly.
