SimServices.Domains.ProcessFlow
Overview
This library contains objects for the Process Flow modeling domain that can be used to interact with the ProModel.ai API. It provides a comprehensive set of classes and components for defining and configuring discrete event simulation models.
Purpose
The Process Flow domain library enables developers to programmatically create, configure, and manage simulation models for process flow analysis. It serves as the primary interface for building simulation models that can be executed through the ProModel.ai API, allowing for the modeling of complex systems with entities, locations, resources, and various process flow mechanisms.
Key Components
Core Model Components
Model: The root container that defines baseline constructs and options necessary to model a system from which various scenarios can be simulated. It includes configuration for simulation timing, units, schedules, and all model components.
Entity: Defines model components that can be dynamically created and flow through the system. Entities can have attributes, dimensions, and inherit from other entity definitions.
Location: Defines model components where entities can arrive and route to in order to perform processing. Locations have capacity, processing logic, and can be part of path networks.
Resource: Defines model components that can be requested to perform work or accomplish activities. Resources have capacity, schedules, and can be allocated to entities.
Supporting Components
Path Networks & Conveyors: Define transportation systems for moving entities through the model, including path networks and standalone conveyors.
Schedules: Support for daily, weekly, and recurrent schedules that control the availability of resources and locations.
Downtimes: Various downtime types including clock-based, called, and usage-based downtimes for resources and locations.
Arrivals: Define how entities enter the system over time.
Attributes: Custom attributes that can be attached to entities, locations, and resources.
Functions: User-defined functions for custom logic and calculations.
User Types: Custom types that can be defined and used throughout the model.
Statistics & Output: Comprehensive statistics collection for entities, locations, resources, and attributes, with configurable output settings.
Target Framework
- .NET Standard 2.0
Usage
This library is designed to be used as a dependency when building simulation models programmatically. Models created using these classes can be serialized and sent to the ProModel.ai API for execution.
Documentation
For detailed documentation on specific components and features, refer to the XML documentation comments in the source code, which are generated as part of the build process.
