CallOfFile

Call of File is a .NET library for reading and writing Call of Duty's XMODEL_EXPORT/XMODEL_BIN/XANIM_EXPORT/XANIM_BIN files.

Call of File currently is only tested on files from Call of Duty 4 and higher.

Using Call of Duty

Install the package from NuGet:

dotnet add package CallOfFile

Releases are versioned by date and build number (yyyy.M.d.build).

Usage

Call of File targets .NET 10.

using var reader = TokenReader.Create("model.xmodel_bin");
using var writer = TokenWriter.Create("model.xmodel_export");

writer.WriteTokens(reader.ReadTokens());

Tokens can also be read in order:

reader.ReadToken<TokenData>("MODEL");
var version = reader.ReadToken<TokenDataUInt>("VERSION").Value;

Or written directly:

writer.WriteSection("MODEL");
writer.WriteUShort("VERSION", 7);
writer.WriteVector3("OFFSET", Vector3.Zero);

CLI

The callfile CLI converts between *_EXPORT and *_BIN files:

callfile <paths> [--to bin|export]
