We use the Semantic release commit message format to create a semver version number for releases.

Public API Tracking

This project uses Microsoft.CodeAnalysis.PublicApiAnalyzers to track public API changes.

Do not manually edit PublicAPI.Shipped.txt or PublicAPI.Unshipped.txt files.

When adding new public APIs:

Run dotnet format analyzers --diagnostics RS0016 --severity warn to auto-populate entries
Or use IDE code fixes (VS/Rider) to add entries automatically

When releasing a new version:

Run dotnet build -t:ShipPublicApi to move unshipped API entries to shipped
