CmsSlugs

Core of the CmsSlugs family: a fast (slug, culture) -> content index that keeps slug resolution off a search query on the hot path.

You do not install this package directly. It arrives transitively when you install a CMS adapter, e.g. CmsSlugs.Optimizely.Cms12. It is netstandard2.0 and knows nothing about any CMS.

What's in it

  • SlugEntry — the unit of the index: (Slug, Culture, ContentId, Data?). CMS-neutral, with ContentId a plain string so the core never depends on a CMS content-reference type.
  • ISlugStore — the store contract, implemented by the in-memory store here and by each storage provider package. Deliberately synchronous: IPartialRouter is synchronous, and a sync-over-async hop on the hot path is worth avoiding.
  • InMemorySlugStore — the default store. Rebuilt on every start, so it reports RequiresBootScan = true.
  • Key normalization, so lookups agree on casing and culture form regardless of who wrote the entry.
  • ISlugWarningSink — where the index reports collisions and bad entries; the CMS adapter supplies an implementation that routes them to the CMS log.

Choosing a store

With no storage provider installed you get InMemorySlugStore. Install CmsSlugs.Redis and call its AddCmsSlugsRedis(...) extension to swap in a durable one — the provider replaces the ISlugStore registration, so register exactly one.

A SQL Server provider (CmsSlugs.MsSql) exists in the repository but is not yet published.
