Overview

This package provides a complete MBR (Master Boot Record) partition table implementation supporting both primary partitions and extended (EBR) partitions. It is automatically used by FirmwareKit.PartitionTable when a valid MBR signature (0x55AA) is detected during table probing and no valid GPT header is found.

Contents

  • MBR partition entry parsing — reads primary partition entries (4 entries at offset 0x1BE).
  • EBR (Extended Boot Record) support — walks the extended partition chain to enumerate logical partitions.
  • Partition type identification — supports standard MBR partition type IDs.
  • IPartitionTable implementation — wraps the MBR structure with full mutable access.
