Installation
Install the package using your preferred NuGet package manager or with the .NET CLI:
dotnet add package HiQPdf.Next
On Windows and macOS platforms, the runtime generally does not require the installation of additional dependencies.
On Linux platforms, the HTML to PDF, Word to PDF, Excel to PDF, RTF to PDF and Markdown to PDF converter components may require the installation of additional system dependencies, depending on the Linux distribution and version used.
The other components of the HiQPdf Next library generally do not require the installation of additional dependencies.
On Ubuntu 20.04, 22.04, 24.04, 25.04 or Debian 12, the dependencies can be installed with the command:
sudo apt update && sudo apt install -y libnss3 libatk-bridge2.0-0 libcairo2 libpango-1.0-0
On Red Hat 9.5 or Amazon Linux 2023, the dependencies can be installed with the command:
sudo dnf install -y nss at-spi2-atk cairo pango
On Linux, the hiqpdf_loadhtml and hiqpdf_pdfprocessor files from the output folder of the application must have execution permissions:
chmod +x hiqpdf_runtimes/linux-x64/native/hiqpdf_loadhtml
chmod +x hiqpdf_runtimes/linux-x64/native/hiqpdf_pdfprocessor
Detailed instructions for installing Linux dependencies are available in the online documentation, in the Getting Started on Linux guide and in the publish guides for Docker, Azure App Service, Azure Functions, Azure Container Apps, AWS Elastic Beanstalk, AWS Lambda, Amazon ECS, Google Cloud Run and Kubernetes on Linux.

Getting Started
For documentation and code samples, please visit: https://www.hiqpdf.com/hiqpdf-next-dotnet
You can copy the C# code lines from the section below to create a PDF document from a web page or from an HTML string and save the resulting PDF to a memory buffer for further processing, to a PDF file or send it to the browser for download in ASP.NET applications.
C# Code Samples
To convert an HTML string or a URL to a PDF file you can use the C# code below.
// Create the HTML to PDF converter object
HtmlToPdf converter = new HtmlToPdf();
// Convert the HTML code to a PDF file
converter.ConvertHtmlToFile("<b>Hello World</b> from HiQPdf !", null, "html_to_file.pdf");
// Create a new converter object for each conversion
converter = new HtmlToPdf();
// Convert the HTML page from URL to a PDF file
string urlToConvert = "https://www.hiqpdf.com";
converter.ConvertUrlToFile(urlToConvert, "url_to_file.pdf");
To convert an HTML string or a URL to a PDF document in a memory buffer and then save it to a file you can use the C# code below.
// Create the HTML to PDF converter object
HtmlToPdf converter = new HtmlToPdf();
// Convert the HTML code to memory
byte[] htmlToPdfData = converter.ConvertHtmlToMemory("<b>Hello World</b> from HiQPdf !", null);
// Save the PDF data to a file
System.IO.File.WriteAllBytes("html_to_memory.pdf", htmlToPdfData);
// Create a new converter object for each conversion
converter = new HtmlToPdf();
// Convert the HTML page from URL to memory
string urlToConvert = "https://www.hiqpdf.com";
byte[] urlToPdfData = converter.ConvertUrlToMemory(urlToConvert);
// Save the PDF data to a file
System.IO.File.WriteAllBytes("url_to_memory.pdf", urlToPdfData);
To convert in your ASP.NET Core applications an HTML string or a URL to a PDF document in a memory buffer and then send it for download to the browser you can use the C# code below.
// Create the HTML to PDF converter object
HtmlToPdf converter = new HtmlToPdf();
// Convert the HTML code to memory
byte[] htmlToPdfData = converter.ConvertHtmlToMemory("<b>Hello World</b> from HiQPdf !", null);
FileResult fileResult = new FileContentResult(htmlToPdfData, "application/pdf");
fileResult.FileDownloadName = "html_to_pdf.pdf";
return fileResult;
