OPCFoundation.NetStandard.Opc.Ua.Mcp.Diagnostics

OPC UA Model Context Protocol (MCP) tools for protocol diagnostics, packaged so they can be embedded in any MCP server host rather than only run as the shipped opcua-mcp tool.

Use this package when an application wants to let an LLM capture and inspect UA-TCP traffic alongside tools of its own.

Tools

UA-TCP packet capture to pcapng, decode of captured traffic, and replay of a capture against a live endpoint.

Security

The decode and replay tools disclose symmetric channel keys and can re-send captured traffic. They are disabled by default and are registered only when a host opts in, either through Pcap:EnableDiagnosticsTools in configuration or the OPCUA_PCAP_ENABLE_DIAGNOSTICS environment variable. AreDiagnosticsToolsEnabled evaluates both.

A profile that does not select diagnostics contributes no tools rather than failing, so the same profile value can be passed to every OPC UA tool package a host references.
