Rulealize.RuleSet.Budget

A household budget for a month: what was spent, on which day and in which category, against the month's budget. A Rulealize rule set.

Rule set id Rulealize.RuleSet.Budget
Package Rulealize.RuleSet.Budget
Inputs spend, budget, remove, clear
Holds nothing
Draws on TypeSchema, State, Sequence, Record, Comparison, Logic, Arithmetic, Branch, Binding, Definition, Text

A line is the date, one of six categories — food, home, utilities, transport, fun and other, which a screen names in its own language — what it was, and the amount in whole units. The day of a line is taken as a calendar writes it, 2026-11-03, and date.form refuses any other form. A line is removed by its place in the list, and clear takes every line for the next month, leaving the budget as it is.

Projection Holds
spent Every line, { "n", "date", "category", "what", "amount" }, n being its place, which remove takes
byCategory What each category comes to, { "category", "amount" }, leaving out those with nothing spent
summary total, budget; left and overBy, one of which is 0; over and within, true or false; state, over or within
