Rulealize.RuleSet.Calculator
A scientific calculator: brackets, powers, sin, cos and tan in degrees or radians, logarithms, and the keys laid out as one. A Rulealize rule set.

The keys are a board of their own, five across and eight down, and press takes the square of
the one pressed, so a screen that draws the board has the calculator's face:
DEG sin cos tan π
ln log eˣ 10ˣ e
x² √ xʸ 1/x n!
( ) ± % |x|
7 8 9 ⌫ C
4 5 6 × ÷
1 2 3 + −
0 . EXP Ans =
Multiplication and division come before addition and subtraction, powers before both, and
brackets before all: 2 + 3 × 4 = is 14, and 2 xʸ 3 xʸ 2 = is 512. Brackets nest five deep,
and = closes any left open. A function key works on the number shown, as on a calculator
without a formula display: 9 √ is 3. EXP is times ten to the power of the next number, Ans
the last answer, and DEG switches sin, cos and tan between degrees and radians, the key
showing which is in use.
Ten digits are typed at most, and a result keeps ten significant digits. One of more than
twelve digits before the point, a division by zero, or a function with no value there — √ of
a negative number, log of zero, tan of 90 degrees — is an error, and only C clears it.
A key that would do nothing is not offered: ) with no bracket open, ⌫ on a result.
sin, cos, tan and the logarithms are worked out from their series in decimal, so they give the
same digits everywhere. eˣ, √ and a power with a fractional exponent go through
math.pow, whose last digits may differ between machines; ten significant digits do not reach them.

Rulpane opens it from the
Rulealize Registry by its identifier and
version: #r=Rulealize.RuleSet.Calculator@1.0.0.
